Freightliners Farm, Islington
The farm N7 is a charitable organisation with beautiful gardens and a fab cafe. Their focus is on education, therapeutic activity and community input. (free, donations always welcome)
Tate Modern – Uniqlo Tate Play The Obliteration Room
Tate Modern – SE1 . In Yayoi Kusama’s The Obliteration Room, everyone is invited to transform a completely white room dotty. A playful art-inspired activity for families. Also everyone can create their own work of art to add to an ever-growing garden in the Turbine Hall. On until the 29th August. (free)
Canary Wharf Summer Lights
Canary Wharf E14. Outdoor installations, enhanced by the play of natural light – 11 new installations, as well as 6 permanent pieces, are dotted around Canary Wharf. Plus a spectacular exhibition of hand-blown glass in the Lobby of One Canada Square. On until 20th August. (free)
Free Hula Hoop and Circus Workshops for kids
Stonebridge Garden, E8. The Majorettes are a Guinness World Record Holding hula hoop troupe!! Since 2012 they have been creating workshops and performances which inspire people to reconnect with their bodies and enjoy fitness. (free) over Summer every Tuesday – weather permitting. (ages 8-16)
The Garden Museum – The Secret Garden
The Garden Museum SE1. Build your own small Secret Garden – Each participant will receive a little box or tray to create a mini garden, make plants out of drawings on torn paper, wire, cardboard and tissue paper. The session will be run by Florence Goodhand-Tait, an artist and freelancer who regularly works with Art in the Park in Burgess Park. (free) every sunday throughout summer (ages 3-10)
Gunnerbury Park & Museum – Mini Beast Safari and pond dipping
Gunnersbury W5. Grab your minibeast spotting equipment, head out into the park and discover the hidden world of insects in this fascinating workshop. 2nd August, 9th August & 23rd August. (paid £7)

Greenwich & Docklands International Festival 2022
18 days of free theatre, art, dance and circus. The Sky is filled with Thunder – voices of local children in a multi-layered audio artwork about home, migration, family history, hope, anger, fear and joy. 27th – 28th August. Organic Fireworks 26th – 27th August. Island of Foam – 3rd – 4th September. Unfurl – beautiful installation – Light, colour and sound, combined with cutting-edge soft robotics, to create an enchanting dreamscape. 9th & 10th September (free)
British Museum Little Feet,WC1B. Museum Beach 2022. Urban beach to splash, play and explore, with paddling pools, count the ducks, fish for crabs in the mini sealife area, and a range of summer art activities. (free) (under 5’s
Camden Artist Centre – Summer Family Activity: Shelter NW3. 5 days of family-friendly activities in their garden and studio: five basic human survival needs – sustenance, shelter, rest, breathing and clothing. The sessions will offer children and their adults a relaxed and creative environment to look to nature and slow down

Mudchute Farm – Isle Of Dogs
32 acres of countryside in the heart of East London. The Mudchute is a community charity, with a working farm, and a wide range of education activities and has a lovely on-site café. (free/donations always welcome)
Cutty Sark

National Maritime Museum
SE10 9NF. Ahoy! gallery. This is a play area within the main museum building that is especially designed for babies and children aged up to seven. (free)
Chisenhale.Summer of Art 2022
