We are local, community focused shops, selling donated goods such as clothing, accessories, books, toys, bric-a-brac and household items.
The Centre For Peaceful Solutions has a simple mission “to change attitudes towards conflict and resolve disputes peacefully”. Whether within our families or relationships, with our clients or in education, conversations don’t always go the way we would like. This can leave us with a sense of disempowerment , discrimination, , misunderstanding, and lacking in the connection we seek. We work to resolve these issues using mediation, conflict resolution and our unique Dialogue Road MapTM methods.
We support individuals and families who are disadvantaged, marginalised and hard to reach and we work with groups such as schools, prisons, workplaces and neighbourhoods to bring about systemic change and to reduce conflict and violence which affects us all.
To continue this work we need more of your generous support.
The sales from donated items are vital to keep doing the work we do in our ongoing plans to help more people in the local community.
If you are having a clear out, moving, emptying the loft or just have items of clothing or household goods, books or toys you no longer need, please consider donating to one of our local shops. And don’t forget to Gift Aid if you can, we can raise an extra 25p for every £1 worth of goods sold through this amazing scheme (and it won’t cost you a penny).
