Introducing the
Winkworth Kensal Rise & Queen's Park Sales team
Many of you may know some of the team from Winkworth Kensal Rise & Queen’s Park.
They’ve amassed an impressive 80 years collective experience in this area and many of them call Kensal Rise and Queen’s Park home.
So they are well placed to share the low down on their favourite haunts in the area and some top property tips.
Let’s meet the Sales team…
Frazer – Sales Negotiator
I’ve been with Winkworth for over 8 years and counting. I have over a decade in hospitality behind me too, which I always thinks helps, as property is a people- focused business.
Fave local haunt – I’m a big fan of what College Road has to offer - Morty & Bobs for breakfast and The Island pub for lunch (their chicken thighs are top tier).
Best street in the area - Creighton Road. It’s prime location by the park and it’s exclusive as there aren’t many houses on the road.
Top tip - Price per square foot is only a guide and not the be-all and end-all.

Raphael– Sales Negotiator
I’m celebrating 10 years with Winkworth this year and 12 years in the industry. I love what I do, it brings a smile to my face every day.
fave local haunt - I like to go to Sacro Cuore Pizza with my sons as they love the pizza base (the chocolate pizza is particularly good).
Best street in the area - I like Chevening Road overlooking Queen’s Park, I mean, who wouldn’t?
Top Tip - It’s been said before, but I always think you should buy the worst house on the best street.

Andrew – Sales Negotiator
I’m one of the Winkworth vets, with 11 years tenure and 13 years in the industry. I have lived in the area for over a decade so I know the area inside out. #KensaltillIdie
Fave local haunt - I’m a massive fan of Bel & Nev, the people are great and they do the best bacon sandwich for a mile (that Chilli jam….).
Best street in the area - I like the Buchanan gardens, some of the houses overlook Elmwood tennis court which makes it so peaceful.
Top Tip- Trust your estate agent, we’ve built up knowledge and the required skills to make your life easier (although I would say that, obviously!).

Gurdeep – Sales Manager
I’ve been in property for 15 years, and have experienced the shoe on the other foot, buying a property with my wife recently.
Fave local haunt - The Chamberlayne is definitely a favourite of mine for the interior styling, excellent food, and friendly staff, with many great times spent there. At lunchtimes, a freshly made sandwich from L’Angolo Italian Deli on College Road is also one for the list.
Best street in the area - Chevening Road is always good for a walk, especially alongside the park. There are a lot of beautiful period homes along this road. It’s also always nice to drive along Mount Pleasant Road to see the stunning detached properties, as they are all special in their own right.
Top Tip - If you are selling, it is worth investing time in getting yourself ready to come to market beforehand – enlist a solicitor, do any touch ups or DIY jobs and do all the required paperwork before listing. It will make the whole process smoother.

Stewart – Sales Director and Business Owner
I have been at Winkworth Kensal Rise & Queen’s Park for 20 years this year, working my way up from sales negotiator to sales director and then becoming one of the owners of the business. Through the years, I’ve built great relationships with many folks in the local community, and it’s fantastic to see them come back when they are ready for their next move.
Fave local haunt – for a good lunch or pint after work, it’s hard to beat The Chamberlayne. I also have a lot of love for the Lexi Cinema, it’s a special thing to have on our doorstep (and needs our support).
Best street in the area – Obviously Kempe Road is right up there (I live there, bit biased), but if I had to choose it would be Mount Pleasant Road, with wider plots and beautiful bi gardens to boot. But for eating and drinking, Lonsdale Road would have it for me (Wolfpack, Carmel restaurant, Milk beach all deserve a shout out).
Top Tip - Spring is the best time to list your property if you are looking to make a move.
