The William
Myself and my mum recently visited The William NW10 and had a lovely experience despite the rain outside—it was warm and sunny inside, creating a cosy, inviting atmosphere.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, even making sure my mum’s dog felt right at home, which was a thoughtful touch.
For food, we tried a variety of dishes. I had the chicken schnitzel served with a fried egg, capers, chips, and gravy (£24), which was perfectly cooked, with a crispy coating and flavorful accompaniments. My mum enjoyed the breaded haddock and chips with tartare, mushy peas, and curry sauce (£19.50)—the fish was tender and flaky inside, with a crisp golden crust.
We also ordered the grilled halloumi, which came with salt-baked beets, Kalamata olives, and a drizzle of lavender honey (£12.50). The combination of flavors in this vegetarian and gluten-free option was fantastic—salty, sweet, and tangy all in one bite.

To drink, we had two glasses of the house white, which complemented the meal nicely. For dessert, we couldn't resist the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream (£9)—rich, warm, and utterly indulgent, it was the perfect finish to our meal.
Overall, the service was excellent, the food delicious, and the atmosphere friendly and relaxed. It’s a great spot whether you're there for a meal or just popping in for drinks, and they’re more than happy to accommodate furry friends too!
To be honest, we completely lost track of time while chatting. The warm atmosphere and welcoming staff made it so easy to relax and enjoy the moment.
